Time to Pop

Los Porcos. Yes, they do want you to think what you’re thinking: “The…pigs…?”

As wonderfully displayed on their Facebook page, these seven disco-pop-grooving band mates from New Pork City want you to know how ironic they are. With their eclectic and equally hilarious brand already formed, their music is next–and it does not disappoint.

Though songs are few, they most certainly are plenty. As exhibited on the 2013 EP, “Sunshine/C.F.W”, Los Porcos pulls heavy influence from late ‘70s disco-funk. Even with the goofy facade, the enthusiasm and innovation is evident in the music.  The first track on the EP, “Sunshine” is one of the most infectious singles I’ve personally heard in years.

Keep an eye for more from these guys. With just the previously stated EP released on Spotify and only one other single “Jesus Luvs U Baby” on their Soundcloud they have a ways to go– and have more than enough talent to pull them through. Check out “Jesus Luvs U Baby” below.
